Algorithmic NFT, a subversive artistic innovation
Today’s NFT creation is roughly equivalent to the end of the 17th-century era of great sailing. Creators rack their brains trying to discover new territories, often in vain. The innovation process of NFT has stagnated, and some creators simply gave up art and began to opportunistically. So there are only these elements left on the market: a long sword, a cigarette butt, a pair of sunglasses, a hat, or a headscarf. Anyone just needs to find a carrier, such as a monkey, an owl, or some kind of avatar, and they can combine these elements into a complete NFT series, and can easily sell a high price of a few ETH.
In addition, the existing NFT works focus more on the exquisiteness of the picture and the unconventional image but extremely lack the spiritual core. We believe that NFT should not be just a simple picture, it should convey something deeper — the various cultures that human beings have inherited over the long history. Otherwise, even if you pay an expensive fee to put an image on the chain, it is still just a thin image and not a truly valuable NFT.
Based on the above concepts, ComingChat plans to launch a new algorithm NFT. Just like Copernicus proposed the heliocentric theory, the algorithm NFT will bring subversive impact and influence to the old world of NFT.
The following is a brief introduction to the concept of algorithmic NFTs.
We know that NFTs in ComingChat have one point that other NFTs do not have, namely CID. Around CID, we have designed a variety of new representations based on different algorithms. Take one of the algorithms as an example: your CID is 55555. Now, we abandon the overly straightforward presentation in the past and choose to form 55555 in binary, that is, the numbers 0 and 1. The binary representation of 55555 is 1101100100000011. On this basis, like Polkadot, we can choose to represent the number 1 with a triangle element and the number 0 with a circle. Arrange it in the binary order of 55555, and then design it into the shape of the letter C in the logo of ComingChat. Of course, you can also choose to use a banana for the number 1 and a strawberry for the number 0.
0 and 1 represent many things in the computer, such as the level of voltage, the on and off of lights, the charging and discharging of capacitors, the presence or absence of pulses, etc. This makes a lot of sense, and if you’re a computer hobbyist or a programmer, then you might like the digital culture conveyed behind this binary.
Now, we’re extending this design philosophy to anything you’re passionate about. If you love basketball culture, then you can represent the number 30 with a Curry avatar, 24 with Kobe, and Durant with the number 35 in CID.
If you are a Buddhist and believe in Buddhist culture, then you should know that the fourth section of the Upanishads says that sacrifices have fivefold natures, livestock have fivefold natures, and people have fivefold natures. Accordingly, you may choose to use these images to represent your CID: 55555. This is also a type of our algorithmic NFT.
In addition, if you are a physics enthusiast, you can choose to incorporate Newton’s laws, Einstein’s mass-energy equation, or quantum mechanics and other related equations into your CID. If you like chemistry, then you can represent your CID in terms of elements from the periodic table, such as sodium for 11.
And so on, you can even choose certain images from literature or film and television works to represent your CID.
