2021 has been a wonderful journey after completing many milestones
We are thrilled to celebrate the first year anniversary of our encrypted messaging app called “ComingChat”.
We are excited to mark this moment in time as we rejoice at the convergence of products and the user-centric product experience, a hallmark of the Web3 product. We look forward to technological innovations every single year might bring.
CID
ComingChat was launched only a year ago and comprises of a distinct digital identity system.
We created a Decentralized Identity: the CID, which is through the generation of mnemonic words, an on-chain identity system and reputation records that cannot be tampered with.
This is supported by valid evidence: a permanent time-stamped record of a person’s achievements, contributions, interests, and activities to date
Reputation System
This year around, we started and continue to issue new Reputation Warrants that identify and reward users who contribute and add value to the platform. It’s a form of trophy that these users can use to boost public reputation.
The Reputation Warrant system provides an opportunity for platforms to identify and therefore incentivize high-quality contributions from participants which will include content creation, community building and gameplay, to name a few.
The user’s web3 identity record is formed according to the user’s participation in the ecological activity, transactions and other blockchain public data. This is critical to the growth and sustainability of any Web3.0 project.
Decentralized Encrypted Communication and Encrypted Groups
Networks popular presently, suffer from a major problem of centralization. Although centralization does provide reliability and efficiency but it also poses the threat of a single point of failure. Meanwhile, blockchains are widely known for decentralization and are heavily researched. Hence, they can be utilized in this case to offer a solution to the problem of centralization.
We developed a decentralized architecture of messages based on blockchain and using Signal Protocol as a support.
No phone numbers, no email addresses, no bank accounts, and no KYC.
End-to-end encryption gives complete peace of mind and the chat content of users cannot be monitored. ComingChat can give you unmatched scalability, security and resilience.
💰 Bitcoin Taproot Threshold Wallet
A very important development the Taproot multi-sig wallet was launched in November 2021.
The Taproot upgrade batches multiple signatures and transactions together, making it easier and faster to verify transactions on Bitcoin’s network although, not everyone understands its greatness and even Bitcoin holders cannot participate on Taproot upgrades.
However, ComingChat strongly believed that the best way to learn blockchain knowledge was by experience and not by lectures. We joint sBTC (Bitcoin Test token) faucet and provided opportunities for everyone to experience and get attached to Bitcoin network, Lightning Network and Taproot upgrade.
We are one of the first bitcoin wallets to implement taproot adaptation, which is more advanced than most mainstream wallets.
🤑 Substrate Ecological Taproot Wallet
Taproot upgraded in November 2021, at that time, the field of Substrate Taproot Wallet was still quite new and most blockchain participants was struggling with many existing demand scenarios due to its address anonymity and concealment of transactions.
We realized that there is a big difference between Substrate-based account and Bitcoin-based UTXO, so we did not directly follow the code in Bitcoin BIP, but redesigned the account system of Substrate.
We are proud to announce Coming Wallet is the first Substrate ecological Taproot wallet.
💳 Aggregated Wallet(Multi-wallet)
Coming Wallet realizes the aggregated wallet function compatible with Bitcoin , Ethereum, BSC, Polkadot, MiniX, Signet ecosystem and many more will be added in the near future. We’re adding more (Terra under development) to make it a truly decentralized and all-in-one crypto wallet!
Yes, this means that you can store all your cryptos in one wallet (no more multi-crypto wallets) and realize free switching of multiple chains and free switching of multiple wallets
Web3 Browser
We are the first batch of applications to implement the Substrate ecological Web3 browser and the access to applications such as ChainX (public chain), SherpaX (public chain), and Comfuture (NFT Marketplace) has been completed and SoSwap (DEX) currently beta, is still being developed.
No other ecosystem has the breadth and scale that we have presently. It meets the needs of a various mix of people whether they are creators, developers, or a business organization of any sort.
💬 Web3 Communication
One of ComingChat core features being worked on is the Web3 Communication feature. The roadmap suggests it could be a one-of-a-kind function that allows CID holders to embed token transactions and DApp applications during the communicated process with each other seamlessly.
While blockchain projects may look different in the future, embracing more interactive technologies, incorporating more real time information, nevertheless; the fundamental approach of think, research and invest, will undoubtedly last well into the next century too.
