Before talking about Coming ID, let’s talk about some vocabulary, specifically two terms not uncommon in scientific and technological articles: Web3 and DID.

What is Web3?

In a nutshell, Web3 is a new stage of Internet development constructed through new technologies such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, big data, and blockchain systems. The web began as a relatively static, one-way operation-based internet, Web1. Sharing and real-time interaction made it Web2. The characteristics and advantages of the new stage of Web3 allow a large amount of imagination but uncertainty. In the stage of Web3, there must be a network-native currency, the data is owned by the producer and the application trend is decentralization. In other words, in the Web3 era, data will no longer be monopolized by giants, the “rules of the game” will no longer be arbitrarily changed by the “administrators”, and the data and rules will return to the users themselves.

What is DID and how is it related to Web3?

DID (Decentralized Identity), as the name implies, is an identity established in a decentralized network, which is relative to centralized identities such as accounts such as Facebook, Twitter, and WeChat. DID is based on the public and private key system and naturally has identification attributes that can be parsed and interacted with. In Web3, DID is the carrier of native currency and data attribution and the identity of the interaction in a Dapp.

According to the different angles of understanding of Web3 and DID, the types and functions of DID are various, and the Coming ID system interprets our understanding of the new era. Let’s expand on the Coming ID system.

Coming ID System

Coming ID is a decentralized identity in the form of 1–12 digits, stored in the MiniX chain in the form of NFT. MiniX chain is an open consortium chain that allows different partners to join the consortium chain for joint maintenance. Coming ID allows different addresses to be bound, and applications in the alliance and other chains are allowed to assign attributes to a Coming ID. A Coming ID can be traded and circulated in MiniX with its attached attributes.

Unique identifier for encrypted communication

Initially considering user habits, Coming uses a mobile phone verification code to log in, and will gradually replace it with Coming ID to log in. Coming ID will eventually be the only identifier in the software. When users add friends, establish communication, and even transfer money, they can search for the Coming ID of the other party. In other words, the communication within Coming will be completely private, not only is the content of the communication end-to-end encrypted, from the perspective of identity, it is also anonymized, and there is no need to worry about the various identity problems of mobile phone number.

Digital Asset Manager

Digital assets are part of the Web3 era that cannot be bypassed and should not be bypassed. The scope of digital assets is very wide, including homogenized token assets such as PCX, BTC and DOT, as well as various NFT assets. In the Coming ID system, we can think of the unique identifier Coming ID as Layer 1 in the system, and Layer 2 is a two-tier account system centered on addresses. The address here can be an address in ChainX, an address in Polkadot or even an address in Ethereum. In short, users can use Coming ID in Coming to complete a series of address account operations such as transfers, red envelopes, and collections with a unified entry.

Pass to the world of Dapp

With the development of blockchain, the birth of network native currency, and the improvement of smart contracts, “Code is Law” has gradually become a reality. It cannot be denied that Dapps are accelerating the integration of the Internet and the blockchain world, improving production efficiency for many sectors. To a certain extent, the Web3 world is made up of countless Dapps. As we are committed to constructing the Web3 world, we will integrate a smart applet platform in Coming. For companies, after logging in to the platform with Coming ID, they can create Dapps on the platform with standardized templates to complete automated chain deployment. For users, after logging in to the platform with Coming ID, they can participate in all kinds of activities within Dapps without hindrance.

As mentioned above, Coming ID is a kind of Web3 identity. We hope that users can connect daily communication, digital asset payment, and the world of Dapp after they have Coming ID. In terms of user experience, it is similar to the current Google Account + Paypal Account. The difference is that Google + Paypal achieves identity integration in the Web2 era. Since its bottom layer is based on a centralized database, there are issues such as privacy, data value, and data leaks. It is impossible to achieve deep integration; as far as Coming ID is concerned, it is native to the blockchain and naturally has the digital and privacy attributes of Web3, which will surely create a more imaginative future for Dapp developers. Let us wait and see what changes will be brought to our lives by the progress of the Web3 giant.

About Coming

Coming, an encrypted messaging app with digital asset transfer function. Our communication module is built on the end-to-end encryption protocol to ensure the privacy of communication , and the transfer module will use X-BTC (BTC after cross-chain) as the circulating currency in the system with extremely low transaction fee.
