Notice: Mandatory Update for the New Version
ComingChat V0.1.3 will be released in January 2022. Due to the upgrade of the wallet function, it will be mandatory for all users to update ComingChat to the latest version. After the mandatory upgrade;
2021.12.29 updates: ‘We changed the update rules. Keystore users no longer need to transfer their CID to Mnemonic Account. But for security proposes, we still encourage people to store assets using mnemonics’
- All users who login with mnemonic phrase will be able to use the wallet transfer functions. On the contrary users, who log in with Keystore, will not be able to use the transfer function.
- All users need to reset their passwords when transferring funds.
Transfer functions include cryptocurrencies in ComingChat Wallet and NFT and Mini Point transfer transactions
All asset transfers should be completed by December 31, 2021 starting from today to avoid the issue of asset loss after mandatory upgrade.
To put it simply, please make sure that all your assets are stored under the address of which you have the CID and Wallet mnemonic phrase saved, before the version is updated.
Point A | If you have mnemonic phrase of both CID and wallet
Current stage steps (A):
You do not need to do anything
Procedures needed after the mandatory updated version:
You would need to reset the password during the transfer, and all other functions will continue to be used normally
Point B | If you have mnemonics for wallet only
Current stage steps (B):
- You have to transfer CID and Mini Point to wallet address
- You have to use the mnemonic phrase of the wallet to log in to the CID
Procedures needed after the mandatory updated version:
You only need to reset the password during the transfer, and any other functions will continue to be used normally
If it is not completed before December 31, 2021, according to the current stage steps (B), then on completion of the mandatory update, the user’s chat function will be normal, but the NFT and Mini Point transfer functions cannot be used.
The Crypto transfer function in the wallet will be used normally.
Point C | If you do not have any mnemonics at all
Current stage steps (C) :
- You have to create a new address and save the mnemonic phrase of the address
- You have to transfer CID and Mini Point to the newly created address
- You have to transfer the assets in the original Coming Wallet to the new address
- You have to use the mnemonic phrase of the newly created address to log in to the CID
Procedures needed after the mandatory updated version:
You only need to reset the password during the transfer, and all other functions will function normally
If it is not completed according to the current stage steps (c) before December 31, 2021 then on completion of the mandatory update
- If you have logged in with Keystore,
The user’s chat function will be normal, but no transfer function can be used.
2. If you are in the logout state, you are ready to log in using Keystore,
Users will not be able to log in using Keystore. The user needs to use the web page to transfer all assets to other addresses with mnemonic phrases, and log in with the mnemonic phrase again.

Please note: Saving mnemonic phrase/seedphrase is a very essential part and failure to do so may lead to your assets being inaccessible in future. You would need you Mnemonics to create a new password/ import a wallet and hence store it safely
